Incredible energy in one song! And as to "the unshowy but perfect beat" of Ringo: What holds the "Love" album together, makes it cohesive across such a stylistic extreme? I didn't think about it before that album came out - but it always was Ringo, there right where you needed him.

Great post. Extending this a bit, I feel that the "A Hard Day's Night" album as a whole perfectly encapsulates the early energy of Beatlemania.
Listen to the outtake on Beatles Anthology 4. Even more sped up and exuberant. Ringo drummed out of his mind.
